May I ask you, i noticed your settings and thought that the image is too dark until i noticed there were no lights around you.... how do you cope with focusing in pure dark?

Between the tracks, is that a buildup of snow that's been scraped flat by passing trains? Can't quite figure out the ground, though it reflects the nighttime light very nicely.
